Masterpiece Design/Build (“Masterpiece,” “we,” “us”) builds custom homes and renovations on Florida’s Treasure Coast. This policy explains what we collect through masterpiecebuilders.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
Consultation requests. When you submit the request form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project — project type, service area, budget range, and your message. Name and email are required; everything else is optional.
Job applications. When you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the position you are interested in, your experience, any cover note, and your resume if you attach one. Resumes are accepted only as PDF or Word documents.
How submissions are handled. Form submissions are emailed to our team and are also stored in this website’s database, so that an enquiry is never lost to an email delivery failure. Attached resumes are stored on the website’s server.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Our web host records standard technical information with each request, including IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are read, how people arrive, and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on our behalf. It is configured to measure site usage in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not run advertising or remarketing tags on this site.
Third-party services
A few parts of the site are served by other companies, which means your browser contacts them directly and they may receive your IP address:
- Google Analytics — site usage measurement. Sets cookies.
- Google Maps — the map on our contact page is embedded from Google. Loading that page contacts Google, which may set cookies.
- Google Fonts — typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google’s font service.
- Our web host and email provider — they process the site and the messages you send us in order to deliver them.
These companies handle your information under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they collect.
Cookies
This site does not require cookies to browse it. Cookies are set by Google Analytics, and by the Google Maps embed on the contact page. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project
- To consider your application if you have applied for a role
- To keep a record of enquiries so nothing is missed
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- To meet our legal, tax, and licensing obligations as a Florida Certified General Contractor
We will not add you to a marketing list from a consultation request without telling you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share it only with the service providers described above who help us operate the site and our email, and with professional advisers, insurers, or authorities where the law requires it. Anyone we share it with is expected to protect it and use it only for the purpose we shared it for.
How long we keep it
Consultation enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to serve you, and then for the period our records and tax obligations require. Job applications are kept for up to two years in case a suitable role opens, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.
If you would like your information removed sooner, contact us and we will do it, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
- Stop contacting you
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We will honour those requests regardless of whether we are strictly required to. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions are protected against cross-site request forgery, and uploaded files are restricted by type and size and checked by content rather than by filename alone. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us.
Children
This site is intended for adults considering a construction project or a job. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links to profiles and resources we do not operate, including social media and review platforms. This policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here.
